Performance and efficiency
– Double conversion topology. The Eaton 9SX UPS constantly monitors the conditions of the power supply and regulates the voltage and frequency.
– With 95% efficiency in online double conversion mode, the 9SX UPS offers best-in-class efficiency while reducing power
and cooling costs.
– With an output power factor of 0.9, the 9SX UPS delivers 28% more power than UPSs in its class. The device is capable of powering more servers than
other UPSs with equivalent VAs and lower power factors.
Availability and flexibility
– The internal bypass ensures continuity of service in the event of an internal fault. Hot-swap batteries can be replaced through the front panel without having to
shut down critical systems.
– Thanks to its versatile rack/tower format, 9SX can be installed in any environment (standard rack kit on RT versions).
– Stronger battery ensures longer life: Eaton’s ABM® battery management technology implements an innovative three-stage charging technique that extends battery life by up to 50%.
– To increase runtime, up to twelve external hot-swap battery modules can be added, capable of powering systems for hours when needed. The additional battery modules are automatically recognized by the UPS.
Management
– The new LCD display provides clear information on UPS status and measurements in a single screen (in 7 languages). The position of the LCD display can be adjusted to offer
the best viewing angle.
– The 9SX UPS is capable of measuring energy consumption. The kWh values can be monitored using the LCD display or Eaton’s Intelligent Power® software.
– Load segment control enables automatic shutdown of non-essential equipment to maximize battery life for critical devices. Load segment control can also be used to remotely reboot “stuck” equipment or to manage scheduled shutdowns and sequential startups.
– The 9SX UPS offers serial, USB and relay (4 dry contacts) connectivity options, as well as an additional slot for an option card (Modbus, Network or Relay). The 9SX also offers a remote shutdown function. Eaton’s Intelligent Power® software is included with every UPS.
